Mareld Eau de Parfum

This is just beautiful! I am ridiculously difficult to please when it comes to fragrance but Mareld is perfect - it’s not overwhelming but stays with me. It’s oceanic but not really like anything else I’ve found. I think this will be a favourite for a long time.

I don’t really know how to start this other than to say that I have been on a journey. I wish I could share a photo of the sheer number of perfume samples I have acquired over the past 2 years looking for a new scent. I didn’t think I was all that picky, but I’m too old to smell like vanilla and too young to smell like a floral grandmother. I needed something in between, I wanted to smell fresh and bright and elegant and timeless. Doesn’t sound that hard right? Boy was I wrong. Sample after sample, and maybe I have a weird skin chemistry, but so many scents became cloying over time leaving me nauseous and disappointed. So many dried down to their base scents; powder, citrus, floral, vanilla, etc., and became one note. By the time I purchased the Bjork and Berries sampler set I had all but given up hope. To my surprise I not only liked one, but several of the scents. Mareld to me smells like a spring day by the ocean. It’s fresh and green but with a salty ocean undertone that feels subtle. My coworker grabbed me while I was walking by the other day and said “you smell like everything that’s good in the world” and I don’t know how I could top that. It’s a scent that’s not overwhelming and doesn’t wear on me but rather leaves me wanting more, hoping I catch a whiff of myself when the breeze blows. I am so happy to have finally found a new perfume. I can settle down now and know that my grass is the greenest of all, thank you Bjork and Berries!
