Spectacular art advocate Marine Tanguy

As an advocate for artists since a young age, I managed my first gallery at age 21, opened my first art gallery in Los Angeles at age 23 and finally created my current business in 2015, MTArt Agency, breaking from the gallery model to promote better the artists I believed in across the globe.
MTArt is the first artist agency promoting influential visual artists and specialising in talent management: building, growing and accelerating careers.
On average, MTArt artists have seen their works grow 150% in value year-on-year while signed to the agency, while MTArt itself made a profit in 2018.

MTArt artists give one piece of art to the agency’s private collection each year which is now valued at over £200k.

Art
I have plans for expansion in 2019, and want MTArt Agency to eventually rival the major Hollywood talent agencies that look after actors and celebrities!
I was recently awarded Forbes 2018 30 under 30 Europe: Art & Culture, I alos writer and frequently speak about contemporary art. My talks include two TEDx Talks on how to transform cities with art and how social media visuals affects our minds.

1. How would you describe yourself in 3 words:

Passionate, resilient and hopeful

2. What is your passion and what is your profession?

I am passionate about empowering visual artists to have much more successful careers so that they can inspire much wider demographics with their art. An advocate for artists since a young age, I managed my first gallery at age 21, opened my first art gallery in Los Angeles at age 23 and finally created my current business in 2015, MTArt Agency, breaking from the gallery model to promote better the artists I believed in across the globe. 3. What/ who inspired you to do what you are working with today?

So many people! Genuinely my artists, friends and my partner. All giving me support and strength to achieve my wildest dreams. I feel very grateful to them.

4. Describe your workday - from morning until you hit the pillow:

My days change everyday, which is the reason I love my job : ). They are determined by the people I have to meet and the countries I have to be in to implement the projects of our artists with my team. Generally they do start very early and end up with a glass of wine in hand with our clients over various receptions and dinners.

Ok on to beauty rituals.

I have a quirky routine around make up and oils/ creams. I pick my ‘public days’ in my week, that is, the days I shoot, run press interviews or sit on panels and then I have professional make up applied on my skin with a specific method. The rest of the time, I love using your oils and moisturising creams and no make up at all. I listen to my skin a lot and feel that it needs to rest, especially with so many flights in and out of countries where we implement artistic projects! Same for my body, I only use organic products and moisturise it heavily. I am an entrepreneur so I am a single ressource, if I am physically unhappy, it will reflect on my career too :). It also feels healthy to be balanced about make up.

5. Beauty product you can´t live without?

My Nomad perfume by Chloe, I was so proud to be the face of their new campaign. And recently, I did get addicted to your face oils : ).

6. Everyday beauty ritual?

 I smile a lot : )

7. For that glamorous look?

I smile again : )

8. We believe that beauty comes from the inside. How do you treat yourself when you have time off; beauty rituals, workout, sleep and food?

I dance an hour a day and this keeps me fit, happy and in tune with my body. I also sleep deeply and tend to not drink too much so that I feel healthy the next morning. I was born a granny and I am glad as this made me survive successfully the crazy art world! : )
